UI Engineer

Primary Job Responsibilities:

You've worked with many programming languages, but you love working with [the good parts of] Angular JS and D3 JS the most. You have a strong understanding of closures and the prototypal features of the language, and you enjoy writing code that is expressive and elegant. You often come up with innovative solutions to problems but will always use the best tool for the job. You enjoy working in a decentralized, team-based environment, and you're great at getting things done both autonomously and by pair-programming with a teammate.

You will be part of the VCA Engineering team , and most of our UI Code is written in Angular JS and D3 Js backed by Rest API's.

This is a full-time position at our Research & Development Centre in Bangalore, India and includes a competitive base salary and an awesome team of creative people by your side.

Job Requirements:

• Passion for developing excellent software and an appreciation for elegant code,
• Very strong JavaScript background with emphasis on performance and succinctness,
• Strong understanding of browser environments and cross-browser compatibility nuance,
• Experience with frontend MV* frameworks , Angular JS is a must.
• Experience with D3Js and High Charts.
• Experience with JSON and RESTful APIs.
• Experience developing responsive mobile browser-based applications a plus
• Strong CSS skills (Compass/SASS experience a plus)
• Open source project contributions a plus
• Experience with version control and complex javascript applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
