As a part of the US&C Risk Consulting team in Knowledge Services function of MMGS, the Complex Liability Consulting (CLC) practice offers a depth of expertise and services across a full range of mass tort and complex liability issues, including insurance archaeology, claim reporting, policy analysis and mapping, electronic database solutions, allocation modelling, negotiations with insurers, and claims and payment tracking. CLC is currently seeking a claim reporting associate to join the practice.

MMGS is a global knowledge center for Marsh McLennan and houses teams, which work closely with colleagues across various operating units and locations. This position is out of our Mumbai, India office of MMGS.

What can you expect?

  • We are looking for an insurance liability claims associate to assist in providing risk management solutions to meet client needs.
  • Analyst will prepare claim notice to include cover letter, schedule of insurance, appropriate email addresses across various insurance carriers and claim attachments to be sent to a high volume of insurance carriers.
  • Diaries and follows up on each claim notice for email read receipts, formal acknowledgments, adjuster contact information and coverage position.
  • Collaborates with consultants to ensure the claim file contains necessary documentation to allow for the consultant to pursue insurance recovery on behalf of clients.
  • Complies with company policy and procedures for maintaining correspondence, timekeeping, expense reporting and billing.
  • This consultant will report to insurance carriers long tail, toxic tort and mass tort claims to insurers such as asbestos; product contamination, latex, benzene, environmental; pollution; misconduct; concussion and other potentially high dollar value claims.
  • This requires understanding and building schedules of insurance across many years for use in the claim reporting process.

We will count on you to:

  • Research policy information for insolvent carriers, acquisitions and updated reporting email addresses.
  • Maintain accurate records and data in claim files.
  • Communicate with US based consultants.
  • Respect and maintain client confidentiality.

What you need to have:

  • 1-3 years of experience with business experience. Candidates with General Insurance domain across different types of claims, claims lifecycle and claim data will be preferred
  • Experienced in drafting/editing content, maintaining process logs and managing document systems.
  • Graduate in any Stream or any equivalent education programme
  • Candidates with prior experience in Claims Notice processing for US Casualty coverage will have an advantage
  • Microsoft Excel Intermediate on data wrangling and data transformation. Must be at Intermediate level of proficiency
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills - excellent email writing skills.

  • Basic level understanding of BI tool or Advance excel with demonstrated experience in building data transformation and modelling will be an added advantage
