About the role

PwC’s Digital Audit team sits at the forefront of transformation in the UK audit market, driven by Mandatory Firm Rotation and rising expectations around quality, insight and efficiency. Our Innovation & Data capability plays a critical role in embedding analytics, AI and modern data platforms into the audit lifecycle.

As an Digital Audit, Data Analytics - Commercial Director, you will lead the strategy and delivery of analytics‑enabled audits across priority Commercial clients, with a particular focus on complex, data‑rich organisations in sectors such as Oil & Gas and Manufacturing. You will operate as part of the leadership team, shaping our go‑to‑market proposition, driving innovation and ensuring high‑quality audit delivery.

This role is based in London, with consideration given to other UK locations. Working patterns will be a blend of office, home and client site, with client travel aligned to engagement needs.

What your days will look like:

You will play a leadership role in transforming audit delivery through data and technology, including:

  • Setting and leading data and analytics strategies across a portfolio of Commercial audit clients

  • Driving the adoption of advanced analytics, AI and data platforms within audit engagements

  • Leading senior client relationships, proposals and pitches across priority accounts

  • Leading, scaling and developing multi‑disciplinary teams delivering analytics‑enabled audits

This role is for you if:

  • You have experience leading data and analytics within external audit or assurance environments

  • You have a strong understanding of audit methodology and its application in complex, global organisations

  • You have worked with asset‑intensive, operationally complex businesses and their data environments

  • You have experience building senior client relationships and contributing to successful business development

  • You have strong experience with modern data platforms and analytics tooling (e.g. Databricks, SQL, Python, Power BI, ERP environments)

  • You have led or contributed to large‑scale transformation initiatives within audit or assurance
