DescriptionWe’re looking for a hands‑on Application Engineer / Project Engineer to support and deliver mission‑critical control room solutions across the Middle East & Africa. You will be the technical backbone throughout the customer lifecycle—partnering with Sales in pre‑sales and ensuring flawless execution in post‑sales—covering KVM and/or Professional AV systems, video walls, signal distribution, and operator workspace technologies.
Experience required: 5–10 years engineering in KVM/Pro AV/control room integration
Travel: Up to 50% within MEA for site surveys, demos, installations, and commissioning
Key Responsibilities
Pre‑Sales (Customer‑Facing & Solution Design)
- Conduct discovery workshops, site surveys, and requirements capture for control rooms (utilities, transport, security, broadcast, oil & gas, finance, etc.).
- Translate requirements into solution architectures, block diagrams, BoMs, and compliance matrices (latency, bandwidth, redundancy, cybersecurity, ergonomics).
- Prepare and deliver demos/PoCs, technical presentations, and RFP/RFI responses with clear value propositions.
- Support costings, solution sizing, and bid/no‑bid inputs; align with Sales and PM on scope, assumptions, and risk.
- Drive vendor/subcontractor technical alignment; evaluate product fit and interoperability.
Post‑Sales (Delivery, Commissioning & Support)
- Execute detailed design, rack layouts, cabling schedules, IP addressing, and device configuration (KVM, encoders/decoders, controllers, video processors).
- Lead FAT/SAT, commissioning, cut‑over, and customer acceptance; produce as‑built documentation and O\&M manuals.
- Deliver user and admin training; enablement for operations teams and integrator partners.
- Troubleshoot complex signal, network, and control issues; own escalations and drive root‑cause corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with site rules, QA/QC plans, and change control; contribute to continuous improvement and product feedback.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 5–10 years engineering experience in KVM and/or Professional AV integration for control rooms.
- Proven delivery across MEA markets with multi‑site, multi‑vendor environments.

Strong knowledge of:
- KVM: matrix/IP‑KVM, redundancy/N+1, access/control policies, USB routing.
- Pro AV: signal distribution (HDMI/DP/SDI), video wall processors, controllers, encoders/decoders (e.g., H.264/H.265, JPEG2000, SDVoE).
- Networking: TCP/IP, VLAN/QoS, IGMP multicast, SNMP, PoE, basic cybersecurity hardening.
- Tooling: MS Visio/AutoCAD (layouts), MS Project (timelines), Excel/Power BI (reporting), ticketing/collab tools (Jira/Confluence or similar).
- Languages: Fluent English; Arabic and/or French an advantage for MEA engagements.
- Education: Bachelor’s in Electrical/Electronics/IT/Telecom/AV Engineering (or related).
- Certifications (nice to have): AVIXA CTS/CTS‑I/CTS‑D, vendor KVM certifications, ITIL Foundation; safety certifications for site work.
